The following photographs were taken inside nursing facilities where the residents plan to live out their remaining time. While this work highlights the body depreciating, it is about the eternal soul it encapsulates. Each highlighted fold and crease of the skin is physical evidence of an involved and meaningful existence. These photographs were made to embrace these details in an effort to speak about life. 

Apartment 5 is a series of photographs that address the inner dynamics of my family in 2012. While living in a small and crowded condominium my mother, stepfather, three dogs, and myself are the main subjects of the project. Each photograph is constructed to preserve a memory of the last year spent in apartment 5. These photographs serve as stylized recollections of that time and how our lives had changed in and in between the aftermaths of my stepfathers stoke.
